At DCM Consulting LLC, we WELCOME transfers, if there is a firearm that you need to have transferred to our store please read the following terms regarding Transfers.
It is important that the customer follow the proper steps when arranging for a transfer from other FFL's to DCM Consulting LLC to ensure a smooth experience with no potential delays. It is the customer's responsibility to arrange for the transfer to take place between the transferring FFL and DCM Consulting LLC. The customer should:
1.Ensure that you are complying with local laws in regards to ownership of Firearms. You MUST be capable of legally possessing or owning a firearm in accordance with Local, State, and Federal Law.
2.Notify DCM Consulting LLC of your request to transfer a firearm(s) either by email at info@dcmconsult.net or by telephone. (Normally it is best to contact us by phone to ensure faster processing).
3.DCM Consulting LLC will need the following information: Your name and address with telephone number, the transferring FFL's method of acceptance for our License (ie: fax, mail, or e-mail) and their contact information. Please provide us also with the number and type of firearm(s) that you are requesting a transfer for. Once we receive the proper information we will forward our FFL Copy to the transferring dealer. Under normal circumstances, when that dealer receives our FFL copy they will make arrangements to ship the order to us.
4.Once we receive your firearms order (normally 2 days after shipment) we will in-process the firearm(s) and notify you that they have arrived. Please inform us of when you intend to come in for transfer and pick up your order.
5.When transferring firearm(s) we MUST complete an ATF Form 4473 “Firearms Transaction Record-Part I- Over the Counter” and conduct a NICS background check in order to legally transfer the firearm to you. (Exception: If you hold a current valid SCCWP (Concealed Weapons Permit) we are only required to complete the Form 4473). Please ensure that you bring proper Identification with you. If you intend to transfer more than one handgun, we must complete an ATF Form 3310.4 “Report of Multiple Sale or Other Dispositions of Pistols and Revolvers”. This form must be sent to the National Tracing Center and also to our Local Law Enforcement Authorities.
6.Once all paperwork is filled out properly, the NICS background check gives a status of PROCEED, and you pay the $25.00 transfer fee, we will transfer the firearm(s) to you. Congratulations on owning your new Firearm!
PLEASE NOTE: DCM CONSULTING LLC HAS NO CONTROL OVER THE RESULTS OF A NICS BACKGROUND CHECK AND IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR NICS DELAYED OR DENIED STATUS.
If the NICS Check gives a response of Delayed, we are required by Law to wait 3 BUSINESS days before proceeding any further. If we receive no response in 3 business days of proceed or denied, then we may transfer the firearm. If the NICS Check gives a response of Denied, WE CANNOT LEGALLY TRANSFER THE FIREARM TO YOU. It is then YOUR responsibility to comply with all Terms and Conditions of the Selling Dealer regarding transfer non-approval. Those Terms and Conditions are between you and the selling dealer. DCM CONSULTING LLC DOES NOT PROVIDE REFUNDS IN THE EVENT OF A DENIED STATUS. Also note that when Denied, NICS DOES NOT give a reason for the Denial, only the status of Denied.
